Solely as a precaution we advise you to return the Swinxs adapter to us. We will replace your Swinxs adapter immediately with a new one free of cost.
An independent certified agency in The Netherlands, Philips Applied Technologies, found that:
- Some of the adapters can become defective when a very high voltage passes through them. These high voltages can occur incidentally (for example when lightning strikes a power line). According to the CE norm, the adapter should be able to withstand up to 1 kilovolt. We have discovered that in some cases the adapter will break down when charged with less than 1 kilovolt.
- However, the Swinxs adapters do not pose a safety risk (no risk of fire and voltage isolation remains intact).
Please contact Swinxs support at support@swinxs.com for further details. In your email please list the address at which you would like to receive the new Swinxs adapter and your Swinxs serial number (located on the bottom of your Swinxs console next to the letters SN).
Please dispose of the current adapter according to your local recycling norms.
Our sincere apologies for this issue.
